Electrical Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering principles and practices, with experience in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and innovative thinking to contribute to various projects within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of commercial electrical systems, including lighting, receptacles, power distribution, fire alarms, and emergency power systems.
• Manage and prepare documentation for permit submissions and support the tendering process.
• Perform building assessments of electrical infrastructure and provide comprehensive reports, including feasibility studies.
• Contribute to a mix of commercial and industrial design projects, ensuring all electrical aspects meet client and regulatory standards.
• Support ongoing projects with electrical expertise as required.
• Utilize AutoCAD for electrical design work and project documentation.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and ensure project deadlines and budgets are met.

Qualifications and Experience:

• P. Eng in the Province of Ontario registered with the PEO and in good standing
• P. Eng in the Province of Quebec would be an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with commercial building designs, including lighting, power distribution, and fire alarms.
• Familiarity with the tendering process and permit submission requirements.
• Knowledge of arc flash studies (preferred but not required).
• Experience in both commercial and industrial electrical systems design.
• Strong report writing skills, including the ability to create feasibility studies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
